when you put three together

Norehan was at the house when we reached home from work yesterday. we met Amal at the front door heading to the mosque.

then Significant Other had this bright idea (actually, this idea was already bright during the PC fair but i poured cold water all over it). so as soon as Amal got back from the mosque, we picked ourselves up and headed to the front door. mil thought we were all going downstairs for dinner but Amal told her they'd only be gone for 15 minutes so as usual mil wanted to come along to see what the fuss was all about, and Norehan followed too. in the end everyone piled into the car and off we headed to Plaza Shah Alam.

the Garmin was switched on, as usual (despite already knowing where our destination is).
everything happened pretty quick. we got in, they got what they wanted, then we headed out. heck, we didn't even need to pay for parking. mil's eyes were popping out after seeing what they were about to purchase and demanded to know the price.

back home, we had dinner first due to mil's insistence, and after that the whole bunch headed upstairs to assemble their purchase. and Dayana insisted to help too. hehe.

Handy Manny wannabe

can you guess what it was that they bought?

oh no.

ROCKBAND 2.

i didn't even know what compelled Significant Other to buy this, but he pakated with his brother on a joint purchase. it was like a Christmas present unraveling, lol. the whole set consisted of a drum set, a guitar and a microphone for the lead singer.

rockband in the making. check out mil's frazzled face

the first song they tried out was 'Nine in the Afternoon'. and they failed miserably in coordination. hahahahah. it took them a few tries to finally get a hang of it. luckily Dayana was too tired out to participate, she was more interested in the drum set. she fell asleep as soon as i placed her in her crib.

i tried everything. and found out that i prefer the drums the best =D, even Amal enjoys it too (he wants a drum set but mil forbids it, afraid there'd be too much noise pollution later on). Significant Other totally lingkup at drums, even after going through drum practice with the tempo set to the lowest setting, hee~. i guess he never inherited the music genes. everything went to Amal, lol.

Significant Other preferred the guitar instead, scoring highest each time, siap dengan gaya lagi ok, the song 'Eye Of the Tiger' being his favorite. i pulak failed miserably at the guitar, omg! (ok i'm taking guitar lessons now). Nor was a pro at singing (yaka?), she sang until she felt like a sore throat was coming. she said later on that she should've taken air asam jawa beforehand, haha. another guitar could be connected as well, but you'd have to purchase it separately. i suck at singing karaoke. maybe i should send Dayana to singing lessons so that she won't need to suffer the same fate as me =P.

initially Significant Other was interested in Guitar Hero but the salespeople there told us that Rockband was more popular. which is why he decided on that instead. i'd rate it as a great game to play with your peers, if you enjoy jamming. hahaha. but the songs that we could play were limited, i wonder if there's any way to add songs or not.

three = havoc!

i wonder how long this excitement will last. at the moment i'm enjoying the drums training sessions. Medium pun sikit punye susah. lol!
