cerita Emma and Sophia

Emma:

i tell you this girl absorbs words from her sisters like a sponge.

where are you?
 - lol this is new. i heard her awake in her crib one morning and purposely didn't go in to greet her. she then started calling out, "mamiiiiii??? where are you?" LOL LOL

ah happen?
- as in what happened? if the youtube channel suddenly stopped working, or something out of the ordinary happens.

where???
- with the palms up expression and everything. then pretend to look for that something. yo-yo je.

hug???
- requests this every single time, many many times sampai Mommy pun tak larat nak hug. hahaha.

papi
- recently she's calling her Trolls Papi, irregardless of whether it's Branch, DJ Suki or Guy Diamond.

nana
- what she calls them Yellow minions. haha. her grandma pun dia panggil Nana =D

ha-pa-dy!
- happy birthday to you =P

Sophia:
Pia has this morning mantra that she would go through every morning before i drop her off at school. without fail she will utter these few questions despite already knowing the answer:

1. what time is it?
2. where are you going?
3. hi-5!
4. cut my nails?

flat tyre

when you didn't think the day could go any worse.... this happens!

a Good Samaritan was the one that actually made me aware of the fact that i had a flat, else i wouldn't have noticed T_T. it was the day fil was due to arrive at KLIA that evening so i was in a rush to leave, i was already half way out of the parking lot. fortunately there was a bit of a space for me to park my car without obstructing traffic flow.

so i stopped to take a look and found that the back tyre of the passenger side was indeed flat T____T.

i've never attempted to change a flat tyre on my own, the last time that happened i managed to bully Ashwin to help me replace it in the parking lot (he did all the heavy lifting, ended up drenched in sweat and how did i repay him? with a teh tarik hahahahahha #forevergrateful). i wanted to try driving all the way to Old Klang Road to a random workshop for a temporary fix. but it was rush hour; i didn't know how far i could risk driving the car on a flat before ruining the tyre completely, even after Mashi offered to accompany me.

so i called the husband. did you know that if your car insurance is under HIP (Honda Insurance Package) you could actually call them for a free tow/flat tyre change? i never knew that. (although a friend did mention that she tried calling before but nobody picked up) i guess i was lucky, after giving them my details i waited for them to send someone to rescue me. it took almost an hour for someone to arrive, and then it took some extra minutes for the technician to locate my car, haha (the mall has so many entrances and exits ok). luck also had it that i was not parked on an inclined surface, else i wouldn't be able to replace the tyre.

tayar pancit!

my spare barely had enough air in its tyre (hadoiiii what else could go wrong laaaaa) so i had to stop and fill er up on the way back. made it safely home after the ordeal, a few hours late than i had wanted to.

kontotnya tayar

the next day i drove to my trusty Kedai Papan to see if i there was any way i could salvage the tyre. but with a nail that big and long, say bye bye tyre T___T. nvm, my tyres were about due for replacement anyway.

behold, the culprit of my heartpain and agony!!! :O

cucuk orang boleh mati

the current tyres on my car were Michelin but since one tyre alone was too pricey, i decided to get Bridgestone instead. i asked my friend whether Bridgestone made good tyres or not, he simply replied, 'ok. masuk F1' .

T_______T (apa punya reasoning ni haha).

Bridgestone vs Michelin

well, that's my tyre story. now i have two new front tyres, a much lighter purse and a very relieved heart hahahahahhaha

hi Emma

at her current age (shy 3 months to her 2yo birthday) she seems to have picked up on some interesting habits and a bunch of interesting words. some being:

1. NO-NO. no no no no no.
semua no. you want this? no. you want that? no.T_T

2. dedek
spoken while poking at the refrigerator door. probably means 'there, there', or something, i don't know. i don't even know where she got the word. but it means she wants something specific, and she wants the milk in the fridge. giving her plain water just won't cut it.

3. she drinks fluids in a cup, yay! except that you can't fill up the glass too much, else she'll start spilling all over herself. uh oh. let's hope it'll be easier to wean her off the bottle compared to D2 and D3.

4. MORE?
more more more - means she wants summore. summore of whatever she's eating at the time. she reminds me a lot of that flock of birds in Finding Nemo, where they kept chanting "MINE? MINE? MINE?" nonstop. well, for Ems, replace MINE with MORE, and that's how she says it. hahahhahaha.

5. ba-ba
what she calls those toy Trolls figurines that we have. i also have no idea why she calls them as such. we keep telling her TR-OLL but she just comes back to "baba".

6. she finally says "MAM-MEEEEE!" the slowest record ever! EPIC FAIL! hahahhahahhaha. but she seems so pleased with herself, and so am i. yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy =P

7. sees a photo of her sister and says "kakak" in a hevaily pronounced k accent. lol.

8. most overly-used word in her vocabulary: de-di. pffft.

9. shishi!
i kept trying to teach her the word 'shy-shy' during bath time ("eeeee shyshy!!!!!!!!")... but she sort of distorted the word to 'shishi'. hahahahhahhaha. she randomly lifts up her blouse and says "SHISHI!"

10. dedis-sheh!
i don't know what this means either. she keeps pointing at random stuff and utters the word. daddy punye, kot?

11. imme!
as in gimme! or in other words, give it to me or else.

the company's annual dinner

we had a Masquerade Ball (2010), Awards Night (2011), 80s Night (2012), Casual Night (2013, seriously T_T), Cosplay (2014), Carnival Night (2015).
i survived them all. bahahhahhahahha.
this year, is Prom Night.

Prom Night 2016
venue: Gardens Ballroom

and every year it's always a mad rush to get to registrations on time. it's like Amazing Race, you know. you snooze, you lose. siap sms Deb to ask her the fastest way to get to the ballroom if i were to make a run for it in heels. made it with just about a few minutes to spare.
but why bother? i almost never win anything anyways. pfffft.

anyways, behold the food served throughout. wasn't much to shout about, but the food was edible. i only wished they served NORMAL creme brulee instead of GINGER creme brulee. ginger, seriously? huhuhu. it tasted nice and weird at the same time. lol.

they hired a Photo-booth this year round, so there was no door gifts this year - which i didn't mind really. i've forgotten where i kept my power bank and power adapter, to name a few of the stuff that i've gotten from past dinners. woo-hoo! forced my deskmate to put the photo-booth to good use. dragged the husband to take a round. tried cramming as many people as possible into the shot. don't remember how many times i stood in front of the camera until i forgot to take actual photos with my phone camera. whoops.

so this year it was just the three of us bananas, one banana made a mini banana while the other banana migrated to the other side of the world, fufufufu. Ah Wai was having the time of his life in NZ, and Luqy was busy enjoying husband life to even bother coming, lol. sad ok.

Azan, darn you why you no go dinner this year? there wasn't any decent photos of us this year! *cries*

photobooth!
beautiful ladies
selfie time :D
the more the merrier

Prom Night is no prom night without a King and Queen crowned. no doubts as to who won this year.

Prom King & Prom Queen

in regards to lucky draw, guess who won again this year, Nadia? grrrrrrr. Mashi won a ps4 hokeh! lucky duck lah her. even Lina won something relevant to her broken foot. hahahaha. i guess i'm gonna hafta settle with this person as consolation prize. tee-hee.

my consolation prize

this year i didn't even do my hair. my hair stylist went out of town (smoke coming out of nostrils) and i didn't even think about what i was gonna wear until the actual day of the event.

everything old,
nothing new,
nothing borrowed,
something blue.

ootd haha
top: some designer from isetan, purchased decades ago; scarf: dUCkscarves in Rose Tea, heels: Clarks, necklace: Axxezz
selfie

so i didn't go home empty-handed that night. on my defense, there was nobody around and it was bobbing up and down so innocently in the corner.... ok i bring you home. haha! the kids loved it btw.
my only wish is that they would stay up forever, yes? (darn you helium molecules).

in case anyone asks...

on another note, i'm officially on my own for two months with the four hooligans and 11 cats.
pingsan! and i'm a FTWM! can i resign and do Uber? LOL

Dinara's graduation

my little girl has finally graduated kindergarten! i'm feeling anxious right about now... T_T who's the one that's entering primary next year - me or her? she doesn't seem too worried about entering a new foreign school all on her own -___-

being the busy PA secretary that i am (lol), i landed in KLIA right about noon. the pilot had to complete another two sectors, so i got my brother to pick me up at the airport and we headed straight to the venue. this year they decided to hold the graduation ceremony in the afternoon. i hope next year they'll split the event based on the children's age. we had to sit through every single class performance before the graduation ceremony actually began. not that i minded, but there was no food and drink available and kids got cranky after awhile. for that reason D3 and E1 was left behind.

at the last minute i realized that Dinara had to wear a black headscarf that day, since she was going to be a soldier for her school performance. unfortunately she doesn't own any save for pink/lightblue/yellow. she most definitely couldn't wear those colors, what kind of askar goes to war wearing pink??! hello, camouflage?

thanks Shenz from @onulaa for helping me out at the very last minute =D. despite me not knowing which hole her head was supposed to go into *laughs*, it definitely was a much neater wear than the headscarf i made her wear last year, i forgot what brand that was from.

the pilot finally made it just about the time the graduation ceremony ended. she was so excited to take photos, haha. and she waved to most of her friends walking by, most of whom i do not recognize because they didn't come to her birthday party last August. thanks Abang for helping me out today =).

Daddy's naughty big girl
happy graduation Dinara!

next year D3 goes to kindergarten. and i'm going to have a massive headache trying to organize getting three kids to school, especially with the different morning / afternoon sessions. huargh.
