because dreaming is free

raya is coming. the fasting month is just around the corner (have you ganti puasa yet?)
most importantly, the time to figure out which-outfit-from-which-designer-shall-we-break-the-bank-for is coming too. kee~

you know it's addictive to watch instatories on instagram, right? a few people i've known from #dUCkfever recently attended the rizalman for zalora 2017 fashion show of the sorts and posted a bunch of videos taken during the event.
this morning out of sheer curiosity, i decided to visit Zalora to 'cleanse my eyes' from all those test cases i've been staring at all day in the office (lol, alasan).

these designers pandai. time their releases right, get customers into a frenzy - should they buy, should they wait? if wait nanti sold out, if buy now later other designers release nicer designs (and then menyesal), if no buy later all sold out then nothing to buy, if buy all later bankrupt, how lahhh?
#womenproblems

wahahahhahahahhaha. *proceeds to unfollow all designers on instagram to save myself from torture*

is it just me, or is everything beautiful fetching a higher price these days? O_o
anyways, if you got the moolah to splurge, i say check the collection out, they're really pretty, not over-the-top iykwim (you can't imagine the kind of fashion people pull off these days, especially the ones where you wear your nightie on the outside LOL). #ihavenosenseoffashion

after skimming through rizalman's collection, i decided that i love the following two designs as below (photos taken from zalora.my btw). my heart nearly stopped beating when i saw the price though. #wayofoutmyleague

but berangan itu free, yes? =P
(wah, dah lama tak buat wishlist post).

cannot wait to see what other designers have in store this year for Raya.

so... have you clicked your way to happiness yet?

final fantasy xv

i've been putting this off for a loOoOoOOng time ever since the husband purchased this game.
because i knew what would happen if i started.
once you start... you can't stop.
indeed.
bye bye world. see you in a few weeks if you're lucky.

Prompto, Ignis, Gladiolus, Noctis

so far my only complaints/comments are:
- where are all the playable female characters??? T_T
- i still don't know how to utilize Elemency though.
- and i hate FISHING. i have ZERO patience whatsoever.
- i have vowed not to be a completionist when it comes to sidequests! (... and then... not long after making this vow i DMed a friend after i realized i missed out on obtaining a Drain Lance - kiasu much? bahahahahaha)
- every time the battle system gets more and more confusing. all i do is whack at them buttons on the controller and hope for the best.

each character has their own unique skill that may be of use throughout the game.
- Noctis: Fishing Skill. fishing???? T______T
- Gladiolus: Survival Skill. useful in the open world.
- Ignis: Cooking Skill. great for stats boosts before battles. can i hire him as my cook?
- Prompto: Photography Skill. the two photos i've included in this post was taken by Prompto, the team's skilled photographer =D.

chocobos!

i like how you can actually listen to songs from the previous Final Fantasy installments while driving around on the world map. i've been reliving nostalgic music of Final Fantasy VIII in the car on repeat =P~

now... if only Square Enix would re-release ff ix, ff viii and ff vii on their latest console, it would be epic! the next time you'll see me in broad daylight would be in 2 years! hahahahah. #justsayin

beauty & the beast, 2017

we took the three elder kids to watch Beauty & the Beast last weekend. i enjoy bringing the elder two for movie runs (despite asking me to bring them to the washroom during the movie! grrr), their concentration is Ace compared to my 4 year-old, whose ability to sit still in her seat for two solid hours is dependent on what kind of movie we were watching. the only movie in which she sat still with her eyes glued to the screen was *you guessed it* Trolls. Sing pun kalah.

Belle & Gaston

the movie:
Emma Watson played the part of Belle well, but in terms of her singing voice, i feel like she's limiting herself to within her comfort zone, you know? she's no Paige O'Hara, but that's ok. plus points because she's pretty =) i like how they actually expanded on the story-line. at least the movie made a bit more sense compared to before, haha (when you're a kid, who cared?).

i don't recognize who plays the Beast though, so sorry =P

the best character goes to: Gaston!
i'm not kidding. Luke Evans had the whole character down to a T. from the way he swags to the way
he dresses. plus points because he can actually sing, due to his theater background. the extension of 'Gaston' was superb. i never did like the character, but Luke Evans made Gaston worth an extra 5 minutes of your time =D. too bad he still had to meet his demise in the end. he would've made a great character for a potential movie sequel. perhaps a prequel then? (think Star Wars, dunn dunn dunnnnnnn~)

the soundtrack:
i really didn't fancy the soundtrack remake of Beauty & the Beast, sung this time by Ariana Grande and John Legend. i'm not sure why, but it didn't sound and feel as classy as the original by Celine Dion & Peabo Bryson. the song's rhythm kind of reminded me of the tempo beats that you can preset on an organ, if you get my drift (i'm sooOo a piano person). the song sounded a bit flat compared to the original.

i guess i'm so into the songs from the original movie that some of the cuts made in Belle didn't really go to well for me. like when they omitted the 'Marie, the baguettes, hurry up!' part. or the part where Belle went to return the book she just borrowed, they changed the entire conversation exchange completely. that part felt a bit off - must be me i guess. but yeah they can't direct a sheep to eat the page of Belle's book at the water fountain, so it's all good. you can't replicate everything, can you? LOL

Days in the Sun and How Does a Moment Last Forever must be two of my favourite songs from the soundtrack though. they brought in Celine Dion to sing for the soundtrack! *major love* her vocals haven't changed a bit since 1991. and i'd know Ewan McGregor's voice anywhere (from his singing days in Moulin Rouge).

interesting read:
i read somewhere that Ryan Gosling turned down Beast in favor of Sebastion in La La Land.
i also heard Emma Watson turned down Mia in La La Land in favor of her favorite childhood movie.

you know who got the best of both movies? John Legend.
her got to act in La La Land and cut a song for Beauty & the Beast.
sweet!
