bukanet family gathering

the boss was to be posted back to Dublin next month. this required some sort of mini farewell.
Nadia's house was still fresh from the oven. this totally required a housewarming.
so, put two and two together, between the both of them they managed to kill two birds with one stone:
put together a mini farewell barbeque for the boss + housewarming partay for the house owner.
uber cool, huh?
and we guests finally got the see the 3-storey house we kept hearing about but never saw irl haha (jangan marah ye tuan rumah =P).

host: Nadia.
boss: Elvis.

surprisingly, every member of my team showed up without fail. such a cool close-knit family they are. am grateful to be an addition.

we got lost getting there, haha. waze took us somewhere else instead, which was also within the area, but not the right road. the event took place on Saturday evening, barely a day after the skies were freed from haze. i was just a few days post-confinement period.

we got to:-
- eat good food (tp ayam cepat sangat habis lah, huhu sebbaik lamb banyak lagi)
- talk crap as we usually do
- get a free tour of casa-de-Nadia =D =D (bile leh taruk deposit? =P~~)
- well, the kids actually - got to turn the house upside-down, hahaha

Mashi made the best chocolate cupcakes ever. i practically had to hide the last piece from Dayana. she abandoned us adults for monkeying around the house with the other kids. Dinara shy-shy as usual, had to coax her out of her shell before she took to shadowing her sister. baby? didn't allow me to eat in peace. hmph.

managed to get a group photo before everyone left. the kids enjoyed themselves so much and had so much fun Dayana even demanded to go back to the house next time to play with her friends. fineeeeeeeeeee. playdate, boleh?

the NAR family
the mamas of the family. Chie's (not pictured) the only exception: she's a hawt mama LOL

sofina, anyone?

*SOLD*

Sofina bag in Green

the poor bag hasn't seen the light of day ever since i bought it from FashionValet. have tried it out a couple of times and find that this type of bag isn't for me - a mommy of three who seems to have the urgent need for compartments in her bag (else i would end up lugging a black hole... literally!).

according to Vi, they're not producing anymore. so if anyone is interested, i'm letting the bag go for rm105, price inclusive postage.

leave a comment if you're interested, and i'll try and get back to you soonest. thanks~!

birthday party at YuKids

the older two kids haven't gone out anywhere fun since the arrival of the youngest, so when elly whatsapped me her kids' birthday invitation a few weeks prior to the event i thought ok, why not? they should hang out more with kids their own age (and size) anyway. driving with three kids in the car strapped in? easy peasy. NOT.

if anyone has any tips on how to get a baby less than a year old to settle in the car seat without having them wailing their lungs off, by all means do let me know. you'd have thought after numerous times being shuttled around in the car, she'd have gotten used to it by now. no dice. when Dayana was younger she would fall asleep as soon as the car starts moving (and she still does to this very day haha). with Dira, if it's not her sleeping time, she'll refuse to sleep, choosing instead to exercise her vocal cords with breaks in between to catch her breath before resuming T_T. Dinara will offer her sister her Bear for 5 minutes before taking it back, haha. so far only Atuk (in UK) has managed to catch her attention long enough to make her stop crying, i'm guessing probably because he's a whitey, something different to stare at apart from her parent's hangus faces LOL.

anyway, so there we were, three kids and a frazzled Mommy on the way to YuKids at the Curve on a Sunday afternoon. i guess since i'm rarely online these days i never got the location update on her birthday party, so i ended up at the wrong venue T__T (apparently i didn't get any whatsapp updates... and now i understand the feeling whenever Norley mentions the word 'askar' haha). the guy at the counter told me, 'yeah there was supposed to be a party, but they moved it over to Paradigm' T__T. ironically everyone i tried calling to ask about the party never picked up their phones, luckily Jaja was engrossed with instagramming and didn't miss my call bahahahahah.

we arrived at the venue in one piece, don't worry. as expected, the kids made a beeline for the rides without even bothering to check out the food. i remember the last time they went to a playland like this they were too scared to go on the rides on their own. Mommy jugaaakkk had to tag along, squeezing herself into those miniscule slides, sampai ter-sprain ankle hokeh T_T. this time i simply introduced them to the ball pool (you know, those enclosed space surrounded by net with so many balls inside it), left them there and made a beeline for the food, wahahahahaha.

the ball pool?
met some old-time moms there too. the food was lovely - bihun, chicken wings, apam, cream puffs, fruit tarts, just to name a few (maknye yang kebuluran sebenarnya, dapat makan besar hahaha). the kids didn't bother much with the food except to drink milo. the fruit tarts was one of my favorites. there was so much food we even brought some back in tupperwares =P~~~ Significant Other LOVED the cream puffs, i should've taken home more (and then i'd have to wage war with ito for them bahahahah).

her occupation: fulltime instagrammer
some of the mamas who came
i stayed there for two hours even after the party was over to give the kids a chance to finish their energy. at one point i thought Dayana went missing but ito found her over by the big blocks, playing on her own. Dinara was busy collecting balls so i introduced her to the big slide. big mistake. she could never have enough of that slide. a big feat for her too, considering she used to want me to hold her hand each time she slides down. but not this time. slide down head first pun tak apa (ni angkara Dayana la ajar dia hahahah). she even climbed onto the trampoline all by herself (following the elder one of course). considering that she gets really shy among strangers, that's an accomplishment.

round n round she goes
the ball-collector
block-building on her own
the huge slide the kids couldn't get enuff of
spinning teacup ride?
Dinara got herself new shoes. i was clearing out the closet the other day and found some of Dayana's old ones that she got for one of her birthdays. Dinara could fit into it unfortunately the shoes had rotten so the soles came off at the Curve bahahahaha and she started to get really bad blisters on one of her feet so we dropped by Stride to get her a new pair of sandals (huh panjang benor ayat). the only thing i don't like about them is that they're white, but i didn't have much choice to begin with.

oh and the kids managed to extort from me got themselves Polly Pockets from Toys R Us. i hate em Pollies, they come with tiny spare parts - changeable rubber outfits - that will definitely go missing within time. Dinara kept going on and on about Barbies (people would just hear her say 'nak babi! nak babi!') but we have enough barbies to share between the two of them, and besides, they don't come cheap. i suggested to get My Little Ponies but they wouldn't listen, sigh.

p/s. happy birthday also to Norley's two kiddos who were born on the same day, different year =D combined celebration lolz

lightheaded

before and after

i dunno whether to laugh or cry.

all three girls were blessed with fluffy heads since birth. those horror stories of hairless heads even after a year deterred us from shaving D1 and D2's hair off, sayang rambut konon. besides, they look soOoO adorable with their tufts of hair. i'd imagine that people would start asking me if my child's a boy (and true enough, that did happen, heck you deck your child from head to toe in pink and they still ask, boy or girl? @_@).

so you tell me, whether it's fact or myth: will the new hair that grows back be super better and prettier than the initial hair they were born with? or is that a cover up story to mask the fact that it would be easier to scrub away those tiny flakes from their tiny little scalp without their hair in the way? =P~~~

since she was baby girl #3, we thought, why not? hair is hair, it'll grow back eventually. just look at my friends' kids, those that had their heads shaved, are they still bald now?

anyway, it's done. i still love my bald, spit-up baby =D. i just hope Dira won't look back at old baby photos and ask me why she didn't have any hair on her head while her sisters did T_T.

almost post-confinement

it's been awhile hasn't it? my so many things have happened from the moment i gave birth up until now - and still is - that i haven't had the proper time to create entries properly and on time.

first of all, my sleep cycle is still out of whack, it doesn't help that i married a nocturnal and its latest offspring seemed to have inherited that same trait... although the 'light sleeper' trait comes from my side, me thinks =P. Significant Other is still awaiting his license approval, so at the moment he's been planting tons of grapes in our backyard, that we have aplenty to make our own champagne. the junior hopefuls he met during his fruitful attempt at securing a cadetship with the big AA have been called up only to be smacked with a 350k loan; he on the other hand is awaiting hopefully better news now that he's graduated.

i miss langkawi. i do not miss the scorching sun, though.

anyway i guess this arrangement happened for a reason, because he currently has more important things to attend to at this point of time.

i've passed my one month of not-so-confinement period. two more months of not-so-holidaying to go =P

kenduri doa selamat & d3's cukur jambul

mil was holding a kenduri doa selamat at her house, she asked us if we'd like to do majlis aqiqah and cukur jambul for Sophia as well? all we had to do was supply the kambing.

it was a last minute decision, and since we were considered 'crashing' an event, i apologize if i didn't manage to invite more of my side of the family.

i'll let the photos do the talking.

SOHO - the final product

so we finally managed to complete the unit and have it rented out by the time June came around, thank God.

managed to convince Significant Other the need not to over furnish the unit as per our agent - does nothing to increase the asking rental price.

management still owes me 2 defects though. i can't believe just a teeny bit of plastering pun susah nak buat. and i really don't understand how the bracket that they initially fixed went missing on its own. grrrr. shouldn't they have spare furniture parts for defects purposes?

our agent is nice. i didn't know it at the time, but he's the random guy that helped me lug my fan from the parking lot to my floor, haha. and i do hope the tenant is ok. they seem pretty decent. their only request was for us to tint the windows, i'll see what can be done about that. baru 3 weeks into confinement, definitely not a good idea to go hardware hunting right now.

anyway photos of the final product. i must say i still prefer our other unit better, but hey, with the price it can command, who wouldn't?
