destash: carriers

yep, it's that time again when i need to destash. *ALL SOLD*

1. comfy joey coral grad ring sling *SOLD*

purchased this sometime last year directly from ayesha. i thought i'd love cjs, but i prefer padded-style shoulder over gathered (i'm a bony mama hahah).
material is linen, gradation from coral to yellow (if ur LS, the darker rail will be on top) dyed by the talented Vanessa of Luminescence (look her up on Facebook for more photos of her fantabulous dye jobs). gorgeous looking in real life. measures 68" from rings to tail. shoulder is hybrid. i'm taking a big loss for selling this one, asking rm400 postage inclusive, which is wayy lesser than what i paid last time when the currency was ridiculous. sigh.

2. silk duponi eesti ring sling *SOLD*

measures 81" from rings to tail, bronze rings. the color is more to a pale beige. it has a very classy look, elegant enough to be worn to formal gatherings. material is much softer than my former CJ silk. has the usual silk slubs. eesti shoulder style. i don't reach for this at all as the occasion never arose. would love to have it get the love it deserves from another.
asking rm210 postage inclusive.

3. ocean linen lengthwise gradation size 6 *SOLD*

last in first out. i just got this today. i love love love the colors, but i have some things i need to pay off first. dyed by Tatinka (on TBW) i'm told, on a natty linen size 6, measures about 4.66m (according to prev owner, i can get actual photos and measurements later).
asking rm550. payment plan * 2 accepted.

4. red ivory dyed hot hibiscus size 5 *SOLD*

dyed by the talented little.tiger, she attempted to recreate the color of hibiscus linen on a red-ivory, the thread contrasts are still noticeable after the dye job.
red-ivory is on the thin side if compare to other indios.
i'm taking another big loss for letting this go, asking rm380 postage inclusive, which is wayy lesser than what i paid last time when the currency was ridiculous. sigh.

thanks for looking :)

x2s in the house

i was supposed to take tons of photos before bringing them down to the gathering last Saturday. instead i brought the box unopened, along with a tons of my other wraps. and i had the box since Wednesday @_@. i was too busy to even open the box last week! haiz.

looky what we got heeere

anyway, they've finally arrived. and i scored the slot in May last year, pergghhh it's been that long for my own custom! what a long wait! and i was #42 on the list! @_@. i guess it was a blessing in disguise, because right before my turn was up, Kirsten came up with the X2, a newly improved version of the original X. super! and i was originally going with the J and had contemplated a headrest too. i hate hoods. i rarely use them. tried it with Dayana once, she started panicking right after she woke up because being in it obstructed her view lol.

the best thing was, my parcel was stuck at customs because the declared value was too high T_T. but good thing i had a friend who helped me settle the problem *phew*. do you know how much i'd have to pay to get it released? almost 30% of the declared value *pingsan*.

was supposed to surprise Lix, but i was too burnt out at work @_@. i suppose she was pissed off at one point, she kept pmming me about when i was going to take the Kangas, and i kept leaving the office wayyy past normal working hours lol. oops. my postman was supposed to join the gathering that Saturday, but had a last minute issue, so she couldn't make it =(. it was nice to meet her that day, even though for a while and even if it was at the gas station, lol. we (me and Lix) owe her lunch for all the help she did (using the power of heels and kenyit2 mata according to her hahaha =P).

i've wanted a Kanga since forever. the ones that were on fsot were lovely, but they were all in standard sizing, which wouldn't be a great fit for thin ppl like me. then i got irritated abit because people all around me started getting theirs left right and centre (with me still waiting for my turn like no tomoro T_T sungguh frustrating). i actually bought the fabric sometime last July to save the trouble of going through thousands of fabric only to choose ONE. i also wanted to go with blood red straps, but apparently it didn't go with the fabric. so i ended up choosing hot pink, and that was what made me decide to sell my Monkey XT due to its similar colors (bye bye monkey, it should be arriving in Dublin i expect).

so anyway, mine was customized to the following:
- EXTRA petite waist
- EXTRA petite body straps
- bedford cord dyed hot pink
- flowery applique on headrest
- fabric chest straps

which equaled up to a bomb, or hand grenade. ahahahaha.

i opted not to customize a hood, even though it was tempting to do so, i deduced that i wouldn't be using it (if i did custom one i would've wanted one side to be full fabric and the other side to have another applique which would definitely cost a bomb haha).

Lix customized the same thing save the bedford cord. she chose amethsyt for her straps, and with XT side extensions to cater for future kid expansion. i think hers turned out lovely. although in photos, amethyst actually looks much pinker. Kirsten had suggested boysenberry but i think Lix gut magic worked even better. kekekeke.

the overexcited enthusiast

mine? i think i get abit red-overdosed each time i stare at it. but i love love love it! =D. definitely a keeper, after such a lOoOoOoOOOOoOong wait.

my friend Adrin wore Dinara in Lix's X2 until she fell asleep, so i guess that's a sign of +veness lol. and i've never worn her in an SSC before.

the hot mama with my lovely

btw, Kirsten will be reopening her slot again this February 26th 2011 10:00 am CST. she'll be opening custom slots for the first 50 people who email her at the abovementioned time. here's what you need to do:

-- send an email to bkcustomlist@gmail.com with:

1. Your Name
2. Your Email
3. Your TBW logon (if you have one)
4. Your State/Country

then wait for her to publish the names in the bloo-kangaroo yahoo group to see if you're one of the lucky 50. each person is allowed to custom up to 2 carriers at a time :).

Kirsten does magic, it's soo worth it =).

now, what has Dayana been doing all the while the gathering took place? coloring with her fellow toddlers, Yaya to the extent of eating her crayon and using it as makeup on her face. haha. too bad i didn't have pics =P.

i have never seen so many wrap-crazed enthusiasts cooped up together in such a loooong time. and the stashes! my Gawd, i am officially hooked on DSF and GF. chis. it was too bad i had to rush home earlier for another engagement, i only had time to touch-feel some carriers (i would still kill for an rdbmama grad) and wished i had more time to savor the chicken and fish that was there (haha). met a whole bunch of people from cyberspace for the first time. no thanks to Aja, i am loving her rosanna butterflies LOL.

oh, i wish i had taken pics!

any babywearing mamas interested in joining in on the fun? (so far i never managed to racun my close friends into bbwearing, they'd rather build muscle carrying their kid with their own bare hands hahahah). visit Malaysian Babywearers online to know more about babywearing, get sucked into the current carrier craze (which changes so often like nobody's business) and mainly to gather info and meet other fellow mamas like yourself. i got to know my current close friends through here :).

so now that i'm officially broke due to the dye jobs that i have to fund, i seriously need to go into destash mode. i tried calyx yesterday for the first time and chickened out on selling it. haiz. apa punye turr. at this rate nothing will be leaving, what being the hoarder i am. haha.

maybe i should sell my shoes regardless of the huge loss i'm taking. i'm a size 5. any interest? =D

the ultimate depression

i don't know why, but i feel reallyyyyyyyyyy depressed today.
(and i'm still in office at this hour o.m.g.)
and no i don't think it's one of those monthly mood swings kinda thingy.
i've had my fair dose of Belgium chocolates and strawberries already, but no dice.
(strawberries = aphrodisiac so they say).

my weight is currently at 38kg -.- (i weighed myself yesterday).
when depressed, i worry-eat, sleep but i lose weight in the process. not good.

sigh.

can anyone remind me what i can look forward to in life?

progress - the sixth month

Dayana's latest antics:
- greets me with 'good morning Mommy' every morning
- praises me with 'you're so smart Mommy' each time i answer whatever question she asks me
- is never too stingy with her thank you's <3 <3
- thinks that with the word 'pliz' you can get practically anything you want, the more the merrier
- asks too many questions
- sometimes asked to be carried whenever i take out a wrap/rs to try with Dinara
- she loves steamed corn (Cameron trip)
- hates strawberries (Cameron trip)
- scared of Scorpions, siap boleh ajak 'jom balik Mommy!! eeeee takutttttttttttttttttt' (with a horrific look on her face) punye la tak nak tengok all those creppy crawlies lol (Cameron trip)
- tried to make conversation with the rabbits (Cameron trip)
- if you're patient, she'll tell you alot of things, that is, in her own way. up to you to choose to understand it or not. lol
- Daddy let her watch 'Beauty & The Beast' and 'Snow White' on DVD recently. now every night she demands 'nak tengok Pwincess!'
- when asked if she wants to be Doctor Dayana tak, she replied 'Pwincess Daina lah!'
- mutters 'mana busuk?' whilst looking for that specific smelly end of her blankie
- over eager to help out, up to the point of being a niusance
- knows what she wants. sometimes you can kelentong her, sometimes you can't (they're smart, these little ones)
- learnt the phrase 'i know i know i know! maybe i can help' from higglytown heroes. i'm pretty sure she doesn't understand what it means
- pandai joget. should enrol her for classes later on
- has this annoying habit of screaming each time Dinara cries. i think it's some sort of blocking mechanism T_T which i can't seem to understand for the life of me.
- gila camera. insists to have her picture taken first above all else.

yesterday i asked her, 'how old are you?' (i thought her how to answer with 'two years old').
you know what she answered? 'no old!'

T_T.

Dinara's progress:
- adores her elder sister to bits despite being bullied most of the time
- already knows how to roll. the bed is no longer a safe place to put her down
- she likes to be on her tummy, a complete opposite from Dayana
- is starting to stare at us with interest each time we stuff food into our mouths
- is getting good at grabbing things now
- i dunno how much she weighs this month. she'll be 6 months by the end of the February
- my favorite wrappee!
- smiles alot. my little miss sunshine
- grabs hold of her foot sometimes for inspiration, has yet to try to stuff it into her mouth
- once she's full and happy, she's able to doze off on her own
- has successfully rolled off the bed in her room (and onto her pillow, no wonder she didn't cry, i found her lying on the pillows just gurgling to herself -.-)
- doesn't like drinking water. tried giving her water but she's smart, she knows it ain't milk
- sudah pandai geget! tsk. whenever i scold her, you know what she does? she looks up at me and SMILES. chis.
- tolerates sitting in the Bumbo seat for awhile staring at the colorful stickers Bibik placed on the seat for Dayana a long time ago (am so happy i didn't sell the seat!)
- her hair's really wild, yet thin. and the small spot on her head hasn't had any hair regrowth. oh well. not really noticeable these days.

i'm getting really crappy at updating the kid's progress. the older they get the harder it is to keep track of each and every tiny milestone. or maybe it's just me hahaha.

my youngest sis is touring India now, hoping to get a glimpse of SRK. but do you know where he is now? yep, he's in MALAYSIA. ahahah sungguh potong steam. keke.

i decided to change the layout of my blog. hope the alignments don't run.

so... kanga got stuck in customs. haha. on Valentine's day. haizzz. i'll blog about it later when i get it. as for now, i'm stashified. at least i think so. let me enjoy my fluffies and at the same time work butt magic on them. to see which stays and which goes. and i'm still waiting for sampan country's parcel to arrive @_@

someone wants to stalk me tonight. haha.

so ok toodles. it's Cap Goh Meh today. i suppose those who are still looking for a parter will be off throwing oranges and apples into lakes? i heard some DJ was going to throw a banana to try his luck. haha.

i'll add photos later, feels kinda boring without photos, don't you think?

instagram!

Dinara Nur Amani, 5 months+

woohoo... me likey this application. well, sorta. i like how i can make my photos looks soooo... ancient. as in zaman mak bapak kita punye old photos, those yellowy easy-to-crumble-into-dust photos. padahal baru taken in the year 2011. kekeke.

my mom says Dinara looks just like her when she was small. i think i look like her too when i was younger. i just need to korek balik my old photos to compare =)

the only thing i don't like about digital photography is that you have to develop the images yourself if you want everything to be printed out into hardcopy - not to mention all that categorizing and sorting according to date/event - and stored into photo albums, old style. who knows if your PC suddenly decide to turn the table against you and crashify itself? and guess how many photographs i have stored in the PC over the past years? hundreds. or probably thousands, hahahaha. you could have them printed out yourself, but i don't have the patience for it, sorry~.

i just have one question though. to those who actively use this application, did you purchase it or are you using the free version? noob question here hahaha.

offtopic note(s):

i asked the tailor downstairs at LG how much would it cost to have my hemp wrap chopped and rehemmed (and to also move the middle markers). you know how much she wanted to charge? rm45. FORTY-FIVE!!!! wtfh. rm5 to relocate the middle markers, so two markers make rm10. cekik darah, i tell you! now i know how tailors manage to survive here in KL hahahahhaha.

the shipment from Kirsten has now reached Malaysian customs. i know that certain somebody is excited beyond words though. i just wish the items from sampan country would arrive faster. destashing is made difficult without it.

even though tomorrow is a holiday (Maulidur Rasul), i forsee that my leave will need to be reluctantly forfeited, due to some crazed correlator that refuses to pick up my files and process them. haiz~

SR will be rented out soon, although i am happy because that would mean income to the family, i am half sad to think that i would not be able to drop by once in a while as an escape pad whenever i think life gets tough, which is more often than not.

my blog is tardily outdated, i have soOOOoo many outdated posts to write... CRY!!!

7D present and for me, a mari

decided to get Significant Other his two-year's worth birthday present (2010 & 2011) last weekend while we were at Pavilion. he initially wanted to get Angry Bird but since there was news that the newer version would be out sometime this year, he resigned to wait. his other option was to buy it anyway and get the newer version for himself later when it gets released later in the year. and the old one? sell it to me lah. hahaha.

i haven't been enabled on iPads yet. i was only enabled by iPhone because of DiGi. so yes, i have DiGi to thank for allowing me to be connected 24/7.

in the end what did we decide to get? a Canon EOS 7D for Significant Other's birthday. i told him he'd better expertise himself by raya this year, else i'd auction off his gadget on ebay.

the one thing we regretted a little was that we didn't realize the place we bought it from had marked up the price by a few hundreds T_T. we were cheated by such an established company, chissss.

now... anyone interested in getting a second hand Canon EOS 400D? =P.

i wore Dinara in a TSF RTIF that day. i find it funny that everytime i babywear, i never seem to bump into any MBW members? lol.

anyway, it would be unfair for only one person to buy. i came home with something too:

haha. i initially wanted to get red-orange, but Significant Other preferred pink. and it's delightedly growing on me. i like that i'm able to chunk my pumping gear into the bag. i just wish it was more sturdier and had more compartments. i didn't realize i bought it at the same stall my friend Lix had posted about in her FB tho. haha.

i wanted a LeSportSac, but that's currently out of my budget right now.

don't ask me what's so special about Marimekko, because i got no idea. kakakakaka.

oh and just to note down:

- shipping xt to Dublin: rm37~
- shipping butt to Seattle: rm48~
- shipping azur to sampan country: rm74~!!!!!!

sim-pool

evening swim at SR

here's my 5 months old swimmer. hahaha. thought i'd post it here before i forget. seems that the pelampung is too big for her, but she didn't complain =P. wanted to give her a taste of swimming at an early age, something that i didn't get to do with Dayana (she's terrified of floating alone in the pool without hanging on to anyone, not to mention she was terribly afraid of the waves crashing at the shore last time in Penang -.- now i dunno, we haven't been to the beach in a while).

rosa and rosie meets mister P

lol. i found it amusing when my friend sent me the above pm via whatsapp this morning:

"Rosie and Rosa must meet Mr P."

at first glance, seems like two Lovelies were supposed to go on a date with mister Handsome.

well... not quite =P.

meet the beautiful Rosa:

the sweet and innocent Rosie:

and here's the hero of the day, Mr.P:

ok that's wrap geekery for you. please ignore my rants to all those who are currently not singing in the same tune as me =P.

on another note, my CNY leave starts today, but i'm forseeing that i still need to vpn into the network occasionally throughout the week. i don't mind actually, i now have a reason to utilize internet tethering with my oh-so-pricey maxis data plan lol. the only leceh part is that i haven't received my passcode yet, which means i need to sit around and wait until someone goes online to obtain it from them. heu~

happy Federal Territory Day! =)

i remember last time we were in Penang many years ago, also around the time of Federal Territory day, Significant Other actually claimed that he knew the official anthem for the FT states... and then we went on to humm some tune i secretly think he made up out of thin air just to kelentong me. in reality i think there is an anthem, but i don't think it's the one he sang to me. LOL!
