tea time

my team never fails to disappear from our work area at roughly around 2.30pm every day.
due to the size of our current team, we don't have any proper team building.
so we make our own version of what you call 'building the team'.

i'm not sure if the big boss knows this yet. HAHA.

our team has other skills we can utilize to our benefit apart from developing and executing, you know.
it all started from the idea of 'just experimenting' which has now evolved into a 'daily fix' now.

and with my new lowerpro (that everybody thinks is a gym bag), i happened to have my camera with me, so proper photos for us today, yay.

the girls on the 26th floor

the 14 minus 3

we decided to add So into the photo manually because he was busy (and not feeling well) that he couldn't afford a coffee break with us. and we're missing two other teammates this time.

spot the So!
i have no idea who the guy behind the glass is haizzzz

when you wish upon a shooting star

top: shooting star
bottom: reflections

When you wish upon a shooting star
Makes no difference who you are
Anything your heart desires
Will come to you

Like a bolt out of the blue
Fate steps in and sees you through
When you wish upon a shooting star
Your dreams come true

i literally cried when it was time for it to move out.
DISO DISO DISO!

p/s. i am officially down to 7!

let's watch tv

while Sophia watches reruns of Sesame Street downstairs, the elder two watch Barbie and Princess movies while Mommy and Daddy gets to khatam our tv series in peace.

so i'm usually not a fan of malay tv drama because they usually more or less carry the same plot - pendengkian, pendendaman, percintaan, etc. i'd prefer to be hooked onto my english tv series if anything. i'd be the only one among my friends who would usually not understand what they were talking about whenever they discussed about a particular drama series on the telly.

the other day Significant Other decided to download Rindu Bertamu di Abu Dhabi from tonton. have you Malay junkie seen this before? this is a 2013 tv series that consist of 29 episodes. actors in the series included Fahrin Ahmad (who sang the opening song), Lydiawati, my doppleganger, and a few others who i did not recognize until i googled their names.

the series took place mostly in Alor Setar (and Abu Dhabi, obviously), so be prepared to see lots of Menara Alor Setar in the background, haha. the plot ending was sort of predictable, although i didn't see why some of the character's fates had to end in that particular way... anyway it wasn't as long winded as Adam & Hawa (hahahah until now i haven't finished watching the series).

watch if you will. on another note, can anyone recommend me another Malay tv drama series i could follow? =D.

oh, have you watched 'the 100'?

according to Significant Other, this series is like a cross between Lost and Battlestar Galactica (erm, not that i actually enjoyed both of the series...). the series is set 97 years after a devastating nuclear war, where survivors consist of residents of space stations (the Ark) orbiting the Earth. due to a flaw in the life support systems, a group of 100 people (hence the title) is sent down to Earth to see whether it is re-inhabitable again.

the series is based on a book of the same name by Kass Morgan, btw. watch if you like all those sci-fi stuff. as of to-date, only 6 episodes have been aired. let's see if this series manages to survive more than one season.

too many series that i follow have ended, or have been forced to end due to various reasons. How I Met Your Mother has finally reached its end (boo), Arctic Air has been discontinued after 3 seasons due to budgetary reasons, even Nikita ended its run, after running for 4 seasons with the last season consisting of only 6 episodes T__T. the Walking Dead has completed its current season, you're gonna hafta wait for October to find out what happens next (and i hate those darned cliff hangers). well anyway it's almost May, so most of the current series would be reaching its finale by now before the long summer break.

what i watch with Significant Other right now:

- Greys Anatomy,
(i'm still hooked to this show after so many years)

- Two and a Half Men,
(more like Two Men, 1 Lesbian and many weird people)

- The Blacklist
(watch if you enjoyed Alan Shore in Boston Legal! hahahaha)

there are a few other series we follow but haven't started watching them yet, some being CSI, Glee, Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., 2 Broke Girls, Supernatural and the Vampire Diaries, to name a few. i want to watch Unforgettable but Significant Other bolayan that as well, chis.

Under the Dome is set to release its second season in June, so not to worry, still got something to watch during the summer, haha. this series is based on the novel by Stephen King. expect weird unexplainable sci-fi stuff in this series as well.

at the rate of everything that's happening in the aviation industry, let's all download Air Crash Investigation instead =D.

Dira at 11 months old

Sophia turned 11 months old on Sunday. one more month until the big One! there's a whole lot of things she can do these days.

- she can wave at you
- she sways to the music whenever she watches her reruns of Sesame Street episodes
- she loves to stand on her own, possibly to show off her newly acquired skill.
- if you take her hand and guide her, she's able to take small steps all around the room, something that she enjoys doing.
- tried getting her to do the hand motions for Twinkle Twinkle little star, but all i get are blank stares from her.
- of all the toys she's been given lately, she'll always be fascinated by rattles.
- she adores her older sisters. very the eksaited whenever she sees them around (she always get abandoned, so kesian).
- she can't fit into the soft-soled walking shoes Dayana used to have. at her current age this third kid seems to be outgrowing her older sisters.
- she can whine!
- vainpot, she'll always smile at her reflection in the mirror and even kiss it haha

last Saturday while the husband had an event at Aviax, i took the kids to KizSports at the Main Place. this place is so new, they don't even have their banking services set up yet. parking is still free here.

i didn't really enjoy the playgym here, there were not many play choices for the less-adventurous kids like Dinara. also, i'd be happier if the babies section was larger for them to move about on their own freely without having to worry about being knocked over. having one ball pool didn't really cut it for me. babies love to crawl, but there wasn't much space for them to do so, especially with the older and bigger kids running all over the grounds without even watching where they were going.

anyway, all aside, the kids had fun. this was Sophia's first time at the gym. apparently she didn't really fancy the ball pool much, she preferred crawling on the floor, leaving her socks behind in the process T____T *note to self: find better-fitting pair of socks for Pia.

dumped into the ball pool
figuring out what the ball tasted like
trying out the slide for the first time haha

the elder found their own way around the playgym, with the exception of Dinara who most of the time kept close to her younger sister because she was afraid of getting on the gigantic slides on her own.

cheeky monster

see my eldest trying her hand at wall climbing *you see that Pakcik??? lepas ni boleh bawak Dayana pi climb skalik hahahhaha*

she climbed up all by herself

priceless facial expression of Pia enjoying the empty ribena box haha

before heading home, we stopped for some ice-cream at The Cream & Fudge factory (mainly because i didn't want to make a pit stop at Toys R Us!). each kid chose 1 flavor each: chocolate and bubblegum (for the pink lover, no guess as to which kid chose that flavor).
omg, the pink flavor tasted exactly like those Bubble Yum chewing gum i used to like when i was younger *pink overdose for me*. Dayana didn't like the pink taste, hahahah.

and the youngest? safely asleep in my trusty ring sling after crawling hard =D.

the husband certainly has been busy the past couple of weeks. oh look, the husband has fans now, lol.

online tesco shopping!

have you tried ordering from Tesco online? i have, just now. it was my first time, haha.
i know i know, some of you would rather want to 'scrutinize' your purchases before buying - fruits, vegetables, meat, those kind of things. we're picky that way, no?

we don't have to brave the long queues at the supermarket as often anymore, especially if you're only replenishing certain things you've run out of at home.

so yeah for my first online purchase i decided to stick with the basics.

- eggs,
- rice,
- dipes,
- sauces,
- detergent,
- noodles,
- milk,
- dry stuff, per se, etc.

it's really simple pimple, all you hafta to is register yourself online and then you can go ahead and simply add items into cart to your heart's content (haha macam shopping baju pulak).

once you're done all you need to do is confirm your details, pick a delivery slot from their schedule, and wait for your stuff to arrive. payment is made only when they deliver to your door, but they only accept credit card, they don't accept cash on delivery (it's safer that way, i suppose). they also charge a flat rate for delivery to your door (hey, they took the time to assemble your order and ship it all the way to your door, even, mcD pun charges for delivery =P).

they delivered my order on the dot well within my chosen time slot. well actually earlier today they called up to ask me if they could deliver earlier but i was at the office and there was nobody at home to make payment if they did. the delivery men were really friendly too. like!

they'd ask you to double check your items before you make payment. if any of the items you ordered wasn't in stock, they'd suggest you another similar item and it's up to you whether you'd want to accept it or not, no obligation. easy that way, no?

i got a free gift for my first time purchase (mineral water and sample dishwashing liquid, haha). i also got free delivery for my next online order if i spend rm150 above.

the only item in my list that i couldn't find on their website was car wash soap.

maybe next time i'll try ordering 'wet food' and see how that delivery turns out. lol this isn't an advertorial post, i'm writing this just out of sheer jakunness hahahahhaha.

hash brown hash tag

you know, i noticed that people tend to go overboard with hastags.

#imnotcrazy
#everyoneisdoingit
#noideaifitservesitsoriginalpurpose

hahahaha.

ok so fiiine, it's addictive.

do you know of its original intended use?

a hash tag is a label for content. it is simply a way for people to search for tweets that have a common topic and to begin a conversation.

hash tags are not case-sensitive, not does it have any sort of police governing its use, so you may find that a certain hash tag might already be in use that may or may not necessarily be related to its name. if you wanted to share or look up information for a particular content, all you had to do is utilize the hash tag and voila, you're able to quickly find information on that same topic. you can find out alot of things using the hash tag function. haha.

if you haven't gotten the hang of it, no need to worry. Significant Other hasn't gotten the hang of it either =P.

there are a number of social media websites that support hash tags, most popular in twitter and instagram.

i don't really utilize hash tags, so if i do i purposely add a space after the '#'. hash tags are also used informally to express context around a given message, with no intent to actually categorize the message for later searching, sharing, or other reasons (yep, that's me).

ok, sekian untuk insight pada hari ini.

are you a chronic hash tag user? lol. i read online that taking 'selfies' is a mental disorder. ahahhahahaha. do you know that owning a monopod's like an 'in' thing now??? anyway, here's one for the post: a selfie with me and the kids.

himym goodbye

img source: google

i am so gonna miss this tv series!!! i wish they didn't have to cram every single thing in the season finale of the final season, but kudos to the producers who managed to tie up every loose end before ending the show (unlike some tv series that leave the audience hanging and you feel like you wanna strike someone down for another's incompetence).

the husband is a die-hard fan of the series, so any show he follows, i follow too (hands up to those who follow The Walking Dead! hahahahahah). i'm sure gonna miss Barney Stinson! lol.

goodbye, Ted Mosby, Robin Scherbatsky, Lily Aldrin, Marshall Eriksen and Barney Stinson. oh, don't forget the two kids, Penny and Luke. HAHA. i can't believe it took 9 seasons until Ted finally got to the mom part. ish.

egad, i'm running out of tv series to watch. i've abandoned Glee ever since the passing of Cory Monteith (boo). maybe i should pick that up again.

any suggestions as to which series are worth following?

i watched two movies within the past week: Divergent and Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

conclusion #1: i like Divergent. the movie sorta gives out the Hunger Games vibes, with noticeable differences. but they're both based on a book trilogy! i am definitely gonna stalk the other two books: Insurgent and Allegiant (i am an impatient woman); right after the first Hunger Games movie came out i immediately downloaded the e-book for book #2 and #3 haha (thanks Zura lol).

between the 5 factions: Abnegation (selfless), Amity (peaceful), Candor (truthful), Erudite (intelligent) and Dauntless (brave), which one do you think you are most?
as expected, the husband declares himself a Divergent. haha.

veronica roth's book trilogy

conclusion #2: always, always stay for the end bit! oh and Chris Evans is worth drooling over =P.  i totally didn't recognize Robert Redford in the movie, he looks so ancient! the not so best part about movies like these is that you gotta wait >1 year for a sequel. if you're a fan of Marvel, X-Men and Spiderman 2 will be out later this year.

btw, check out the kewl keychain you can buy for rm3 when you purchase selected combos at GSC cinema. i asked the counter if we could get two keychains and they told me to buy another combo - emm who's gonna eat all that popcorn???
