simple hijab styles

er, i found these images on facebook. they make wearing a shawl look so simple!
but... they didn't say how many pins you might need to secure everything in place.
hee~~~

words from their mouth

told the kids we were gonna go to Pizza Hut for lunch, so what flavor pizza would they like to order?

Dayana: "i want to order pepper ****** with the red chicken".
(she didn't know how to pronounce pepperoni)

Dinara: "i want the Purple pizza".

err okay. so which cartoon on youtube has been teaching her that purple pizzas exist??!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

there's was this time i asked Dayana what her ambitions were. do you remember back in school (be it primary or secondary), your teacher will ask you to complete your student book (Maklumat Diri Pelajar or something like that) and there's a section where you had to fill in three different ambitions that you would like to pursue when you grow up?

back then it was always: doctor, lawyer, teacher. nothing was more awesome-sounding than those three ambitions (at the time where got such thing as technologist? haha).

anyway, since Dayana would have to fill up that section in her book sooner or later, i casually asked her what she wanted to be when she grew up.

she tells me, "i want to be a BAKER when i grow up! so that i can cook you delicious food and serve you breakfast in bed!".

ooops. i wonder where she got that idea from, haha.

she thought summore, and told me her second ambition was to be a policeman.
.
.
.
.
.
i told her to choose another (safer) ambition.

she thought summore, then finally settled on being a teacher. i asked her if she wanted to become a pilot like Daddy, she said she did not. she's afraid of Daddy's simulator, so that option's a clear cut no-no, lol.

she didn't know what her third ambition was to be, so i asked her whether she wanted to become an engineer like her Uncle Amal. 'you know, the person that builds buildings and stuff'. she agreed, and even went to the extent of saying that she wants to build a big house for us later when she's able to. pun boleh lah. haha.

updated: she changed her mind about becoming an engineer, she wants to become a doctor instead. when i asked her why, she told me, "i have to sleep on the floor and there's no place to go toilet!". i was blur at first, until i realized she assumed that she'd be building a house from scratch so there'd be no bedroom or toilet and therefore she'd have to build a toilet first, hahahaha.

she loves swimming so much now she's become 10 shades darker than her original skin color X_X. and so far nobody has failed to notice this. haih. swim during midday when the sun is right on top of your head pun takpe. "i'll wear sunblock", she'll say. T__T. orang lain pulun nak qu puteh qu puteh. HAHA.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sophia's able to pronounce the word 'daddy' now. or more like 'dediiiiiii'. she says it whenever she sees Daddy, she says it in my face, she says it each time her Sesame Street episode has ended and wants someone to press Play for a new episode, she says it just because she enjoys saying it, you name it.
the Daddy was proud too, until i noticed that she started to overuse the word, which got me to wondering whether she actually knew what 'dedi' really referred to.

the Daddy was not amused. HAHA.

the closest word to 'Mommy' that she could pronounce was 'memey'. ahhhh whatevs. memey pun memey laaaa. there was this one night, she was yelling 'memeeeeeeeeeyyyyyyy!' while barging into our bedroom, i was such a happy camper.

but unfortunately for me she rarely says memey, even after jabbing a thumb to my chest and commanding her to say it.

"mamiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!!!" i tell her. she completely ignores me. sigh.

she's the only child that happens to like to play with Mister Potato, lol. she particularly enjoys pulling the body parts out and randomly fixing them back on. she finds it fascinating.

now this little one ada harapan nak jadi pilot. HAHA.

note the eerie stare haha.

the cat mishap

remember this bundle of happyness?

i don't know whether this Mommy cat meant well or is clearly a psycho in disguise.
guess how we spent our Saturday night?
hunting for kittehs. lol. yep. you read right.

bibik thought the kittehs were big enough that Sparky wouldn't bring them elsewhere. so she brought them and the cage back upstairs and kept them at the balcony where Sparky and Oatsy always hung out (they're rooftop cats if you may lol).

come midday, three of the kittehs were gone -_-. Sparky must've brought them to the other side of the roof. bibik scolded the cat and ordered her to bring back the three (hahaha you should've seen her ordering the cat aound, you think the cat will even bother listening to you? lulz).

and by the end of the day, the remaining three whites disappeared. haiz... not good. bibik tried scaling the roof to look for them, but there was no sign of any of them. until they heard a mewing sound - down the pipe. you know those pipes that drain rain water from the roof to the main drain outside the house? yep. the kittehs got stuck in there. haiz. even the husband (as annoyed as he was, he' a softie at heart =P) (ok don't tell him i said that) climbed onto the roof and tried his hand at rescuing the kittehs. but they couldn't even stick their hand far enough down the pipe, what with it curving and going downwards.

since we deduced that the only way the kittehs could go was down, we tried sticking a water hose down the pipe with hopes that the kittehs would be 'forced' along and they'd follow the pipe downwards and out the other end. while the husband was sitting on the roof sticking a hose down the pipe (with Sparky kepochi the whole time), the bibiks were outside at the main drain trying to peer into the main pipe to see whether the kittehs would end up at the other end.

miraculously, bibik could glimpse the cats in the pipe (smart kittehs they were! i'm impressed), but they were still quite deep inside the pipe to grab. omg you should've seen everything. what with everyone meowing away into the night, even the pakgads dropped by to see what the fuss was about. eventually bibik managed to get the three wet (and probably starving) kittehs out, poor things. we stuck them back into their cage and forced Sparky into it as well.

we couldn't find the other remaining three kittehs at first, so everyone suggested to dump water into the pipe to flush them out. by then there were no meowing sounds to be heard. the husband even had the idea of vacuuming the kittehs out, haha (we didn't try that though). we deduced that since the last three kittehs disappeared later than the earlier three, they might need time to make their way down the pipes, so we waited the next morning to continue searching.

the next morning the husband had this idea that maybe Sparky decided to put the other three kittehs on the other side of the roof, and he was right. luckily for us those three didn't think of going down the pipe. bibik took a ladder, scaled the roof and found the remaining three all safe and accounted for, phew. probably after realizing her three kittehs went missing down the pipe, Sparky decided that it wasn't a great place to keep her kittehs after all T__T. stupid cat. i find it weird however that the last three kittehs never made a sound throughout to indicate their whereabouts.

so back downstairs they go until they're old enough to be ignored by their mother. pffft. i'm just glad that they're all safe n sound. you see why i have a love-hate relationship with cats?

so... back to fluffyness:

awwwwwwwwww.

week 31

9 weeks to go, and already i've been having such horrible back pain, something i didn't experience previously. sit down oso sakit belakang, lie down oso susah mau settle into a comfy position, and if i do find that comfy position (whatever that is), my ribcage would start to hurt. or the 'cabbage' might probably end up weighing down on my internal organs.

yeah. must be an obvious sign that i'm aging. T__T

i wonder if you can overdose on calcium intake. *rushes off to make meself a cup of Friso Mum Gold*.

did i ever mention that Friso Mum Gold ain't so bad? i used to take Anmum Materna during my previous pregnancies. i was walking down the formula aisle at Tesco when this sales promoter stopped and handed me a sample of Friso Mum. luckily that was all she did (because i hate pushy sales promoters), else her samples might've ended up in the dustbin. i actually ended up liking the sample =D which prompted me to get myself one tin before the baby leeches all the nutrients out from my system T_T. i remember there was this persistent sales promoter in Jusco who would never fail to bug me to buy her formula each time i wanted to get my usual brand of milk for the elder three. grrrr.

i gotta say, Friso Mum Gold and Anmum Materna beat Enfamama A+ any day. i received Enfamama A+ samples from my gynae during my first trimester and disliked it horribly X_X. didn't like it then, don't like it now.

when Sophia wants something, she'll say 'naknaknaknaknaknaknak'.
however when she wants to hand you something, she'll also say 'naknaknaknak', but with less intensity. hahaha.

i can't get a decent photo of her most of the time, mainly because whenever she sees me trying to capture her photo, she'll hurry over to peer at my phone screen, so the photos i take of her end up being selfies haha. here's a blur photo of her grinning at her image in my phone. she's such a little vain pot.

tengok la budak nakal ni sengih -___-

Sparky's kittehs are growing up beautifully btw. Sophia's nuts about them. i dunno what bil's planning to do with all six of them once they're old enough to separate from their mother. i can't tell the whites apart at all, they all look like the same shade of furballs to me.

fuzzy furballs

the happy Mommy

we went to Toys R Us during the weekend, and i couldn't help asking the elder two kids to slip these outfits on (because Mommy finds them a bit impractical if she were to buy them):

Princess #1
Princess #2

luckily they weren't too hung up on buying the outfits. they were more interested in the toys. Dayana kept pestering me to get her the 'Breezy' that she didn't get the last time we were there. Dinara didn't care what she got, as long as she got something. the youngest? she was too busy roaming the aisles freely to even care whether she got anything or not, lol.

oh, so anyone attending this Animax event in Sunway Pyramid later this month? i helped my sister get a ticket yesterday. the person who sold it to me asked if it was compulsory to dress up for the event. errrrr isn't that applicable to cosplay events? so i think not - but you never know with these crazy anime lovers...

hijabs ready to wear

*ALL SOLD, thank you lovelies!*

FS: New Naelofar Babes & Basics, material cotton lycra, no awning, RM50 + Postage (RM6/RM10)

hello! anyone looking for easy-to-wear hijabs? i'd have to say they're perfect for people like me:

- no having to stick more than 10 pins onto your head
- you can just slip it on without wearing an inner if you please
- no need to iron (i was never an ironist, although some people do take the time to iron out the wrinkles first =P)

the ones available come in cloth and metal tags. to me they don't differ much, deciding which one to get is merely based on personal preference. the newer batches now don metal tags. and they come in many yummy colors too!

the ones in the photo below have metal tags.
