poor baby

my LO is getting reddish marks on her legs and arms. noticed two days ago when i got back from work. in the mornings when i left her with the maid she was still a one happy camper.

poor baby. the first day she spotted faint red marks on her skin, but she was still fine. but it got worse when i got back yesterday, the reddish marks increased and mil noted that her skin started to feel irritated. used EMAB to try and soothe the itch, but i'm not sure if it's of any help or not.

i think she's getting bitten by fleas. my sister is prone to getting bitten by fleas due to the number of cats in our house last time, and the bite patterns LO gets looks more or less like it. i'm more than sure that it's not ant bites. this started happening to her ever since i brought Coco back home last Thursday night. before this her relationship with ants and her crawling all over the house was fine. the maid even suggested that the minyak zaiton i put on her each time after having a bath made her skin 'manis' (wth? i've never heard of this before).

but nOoOoO mil insisted that all the reddish marks were ant bites and started to complain that ants were everywhere and she even went to the point of exterminating my room without my knowledge. ok i don't mind the help but the accusing? excuse me la, i know la how ant bites look like, i've even got bitten by fleas before too, you think you're the only one who gets bitten by ants? grrrrr. she even removed the carpet in my room with the excuse that it's probably infested with microscopic organisms. well, that might be true, but i wouldn't have my LO crawling all over the cold tiles of my floor, she might catch a cold! (remembering the days my mom used to scold me if i ever lied down on the cold bare floor). and falling down with a bump without anything to cushion your fall isn't so cozy too. *planning to hunt for the carpet later*

he-llo. she sleeps with long pants and long sleeves, i doubt the ants would struggle to somehow clamber through all those obstacles just to get a dozen of bites out of her. heck her legs and arms are more exposed during the day when i'm not around if anything, the maid dresses her in light clothes because of the hot weather. and the cat for the time being is being housed inside. so if you think back, the rational of my conclusion seems more logical, right?

i'm irritated. she'll probably think i'm defying her on purpose and complain to Significant Other or something. gwahhh. outlaws (bak kata nadia). hmmm. i wonder if i'll turn out to be the exact replica of my mil if i have a daughter-in-law someday =P. anyway, Significant Other told me to get an opinion from the paediatrician. hmmm. do you think i should bring her in? she hasn't been to the paed since her last compulsory shot when she was 6 months old. lol.

bil is spraying Ridsect somewhere outside his room. gwahhhh. he's been up watching Smallville marathons with his girlfriend. ever since he got back from UK his sleeping time is still out of whack. i don't think jet lag's supposed to last that long. hmmm.

oh, today Dayana is 10 months old! a little mini update on her progress later =D
